I finally did it! I bought a brand spanking new 2018 Jayco Eagle 338RETS Fifth Wheel Travel Trailer. I always knew I would someday. I had planned it for a long time. One day I decided that it was time.
What had actually been holding me back was narrowing my choice down to one RV. Fortunately I found a ton of helpful information at RVRviews.net which has the best RV comparison guides available. I learned what to look for in an RV and also learned how wise it is to study up before going to look at them. Doing so helps prevent making a spur of the moment purchase.
I knew I wanted an RV that was able to comfortably accommodate my wife and I, our two children and possibly my parents or extended family members or couple friends. The Jayco Eagle sleeps up to 11 so that was a big plus. I also was set on having a good bit of bells and whistles. I’d say the surround sound, fireplace, Thomas Payne recliners and stainless steel appliances covered that quite nicely. I must add that I was pleasantly surprised at the price tag. Finally, I knew what I wanted and so I went and got it.
With my new fifth wheel in tow, the next big decision was where to go. My kids are teenagers, so they voted for Key West. I certainly had no qualms with that. What a great place! If you’ve never been, you are really missing out. And, going by RV is the only way to go.
The trip from Texas was a breeze. It traveled with ease, flowing right down the highway. We wanted to make the trip there part of the fun. So, we went to the Noccalula Falls Park and Campground in Alabama where we stretched out with a good hike. We stayed the night there which was our first time to really try out the camper. It was a glorious and very restful night.
Once we got to Key West, we found a great RV campground right away. The beach was amazing. We woke every morning to white sands and rolling blue waves right outside our luxurious and very comfortable 5th Wheel.
Having our Jayco Eagle made our vacation the wonderful experience that it was. It was a priceless trip. We can’t wait to for our next adventure.
