Dutchmen’s Aerolite Travel Trailer Reviews

Aerolite model one of the oldest brands for Dutchmen RV

dutchmen rv reviews and guidesFirst introduced in 1996, Aerolite models are one of the oldest continuous brands for the Dutchmen RV company. The company wanted to perfect a lightweight travel trailer and began by going to Europe and studying the market there. As Dutchmen told us, “They don’t have pickups and large SUVs, so their products — by design — are lightweight.”  In addition, Dutchmen, through customer studies and surveys, concentrated on the three basic things customers want in a small trailer: an enclosed bathroom, a full kitchen, and adequate storage. The result was Dutchmen’s Aerolite brand.

Every Aerolite features a crowned interior roof, providing you with the most living area and interior height possible. This six-foot ten-inch interior height delivers six-to-eight inches of more headroom than most other manufacturer’s models.

The Aerolite travel trailers have fourteen floor plans, eleven of which feature slideouts and range in length from 16 feet to 35 feet. The empty weights are 3,108 pounds for the smallest Aerolite to just over 6,000 pounds for the larger units. Five of the floor plans are new and offer a variety of living and sleeping area layouts to choose from, including choices of a front or rear bedroom area. These interiors are well-planned and have kitchens with lots of counter space and storage and floor plan options of either cozy seating that faces each other or a U-dinette plan. The Dutchmen Aerolite expandable models offer even more sleeping areas, including king size beds. Some models offer two entry/exit doors, bunkhouse units, and/or rear outdoor kitchens.
