Strap yourselves in, everyone. The holidays kick off this week, whether you’re ready or not. There’s going to be a lot of travel in the days ahead and -according to the Weather Channel- a good chance of flight delays, icy roads, and hurricane level winds across the entirety of the U.S. Luckily, the Weather Channel is known for being a bit hysterical regarding any weather related issue, so take the hyperbole with a grain of salt.
Overblown forecasts for underwhelming weather are just a part of the holiday pageantry now, a bit of the Opening Ceremony. Also expect lots of newscasters gravely providing useful tips to help you survive the days ahead. There will be suggestions to dress warmly in cold weather and drive slower when roads are slippery. Not trusting us to remember complicated life hacks like these, every newscast for the next week will repeat the warnings ad nauseam.
Any remaining air time will be devoted to Black Friday -which now lasts a month.
Viewers will see lots of live reports from Wal-Mart and Best Buy parking lots, interviewing people who have been in line since mid-October and are just waiting for the starter’s pistol so they can storm the aisles as if taking part in a scene from Brave Heart. Black Friday is the Super Bowl of retail shopping.
For those opting to sit out the sales, preferring the comforts of the couch in lieu of hand-to-hand combat for the last X-Box, take heart. Online shopping can be just as productive and you don’t have to set your alarm clock for 5 a.m.
Here at RVReviews.net, we’re doing our part to deliver the discounted goods to those not wishing to join the melee in person. Our Black Friday Sale starts today (which is considered quite late these days), and will continue through Cyber Monday, which will be swiftly followed by a Holiday Sale). However, while the name of the sale will vary, there will be no better deals coming than those offered right now.
Our Black Friday Sale is the real deal, too. The Travel Trailer & Fifth Wheel Comparison Guide, The Motorhome Comparison Guide, as well as various packages are all discounted to prices we’ve never offered -ever. Even better, for those opting for the e-book versions, instant download will enable you to buy now -and read now. What better way to pass the hours than researching your next RV?
Lastly, in all seriousness, we’d like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. On our end we will be giving thanks for all of our readers throughout the years. Your input and comments have helped us immensely in our continued efforts to provide the best RV Review guides available anywhere.
And if you’re traveling, please check those tire pressures before heading out. And if it’s cold, dress warmly. Your local newscaster will be reminding you in the days ahead. Anyone wanna bet?
Happy (and safe) Travels,
The RVReviews.net Team
